What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash at US 190 in Polk County, TX on March 11th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 1:07 a.m. According to investigators, a Buick Regal was eastbound on US 190 while a Chevrolet Tahoe headed westbound. Authorities allege the Buick veered into a westbound lane, colliding with the Chevrolet Tahoe before leaving the roadway and colliding with a group of trees in a barrow ditch. Authorities say the driver of the Tahoe, identified as 38-year-old Liliana Zepeda, had non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger, identified as 42-year-old Juan Vaellejo, had possible injuries. The other driver, identified as 40-year-old Beverly Williams, was more seriously injured, reports say. Additional information was not immediately available.
