Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at US 287 in Armstrong County, TX on September 20th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 8:51 p.m. A Nissan Pathfinder operated by 67-year-old Linda Massing was reportedly traveling eastbound along US 287 when it moved from a right travel lane into a shoulder. Shortly after, it reportedly turned improperly into the path of an eastbound tractor-trailer and both collided. The Nissan slid into a center median and Massing suffered life-threatening injuries. She was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead a few hours later. The other driver, a 35-year-old Eden, ID man, was not injured. Additional information was not available.
