Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured everyone involved at US 59 in Angelina County, TX on December 22nd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:40 p.m. According to investigators, a Honda CR-V operated by 75-year-old Lucila Reyes was southbound. Reports allege a Cadillac CTS turned into the path of a Honda, the two vehicles colliding in the process. Reports indicate Reyes and her 72-year-old passenger were seriously injured. Also seriously injured, according to reports, was a 19-year-old passenger in the Cadillac. Reports also indicate a 70-year-old passenger in the Honda, as well as the 34-year-old driver of the Cadillac, had less serious injuries. Sources indicate an Intoxication Assault charge was recommended and/or issued against the operator of the Cadillac. Additional information was not immediately available.
