What Happened

Fort Worth Police identified the person killed in a crash at Sycamore School Rd in Fort Worth, TX on October 16th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1:56 a.m. A Honda Fit operated by 28-year-old Desiree Plata was headed westbound on Sycamore when it reportedly made a left turn onto Sheridan into the path of Ford Mustang. The Mustang collided with the driver side of the Honda and 27-year-old passenger, Luis Angel Marrero, was ejected from the vehicle in the impact. He suffered fatal injuries while Plata suffered serious injuries and was charged with Intoxication Manslaughter. The driver and passenger in the Mustang were not injured.
