What Happened

Laredo Police are investigating a pedestrian accident at Country Club Dr and Palmer Dr in Laredo, TX on November 17th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10 p.m. 20-year-old Luis Manuel Palafox was struck by a vehicle under unclear circumstances. Palafox was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Police arrested 38-year-old Flavio Eduardo Zamudio Jr in connection with crash, who they suspect may have been intoxicated at the time of the crash. They say he faces charges that include accident involving serious bodily injury and reckless driving.
