Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at  State Hwy 107 in McAllen, TX on September 18th, 2022. Police are saying it happened around 5:59 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Altima operated by an unnamed 22-year-old Pharr, TX man was headed westbound on Hwy 107 before losing control and veering from the road, The vehicle is said to have struck a tree and fence located on private property, the impact causing fatal injuries to a passenger. The passenger was identified as 38-year-old Luis Valero. The driver was seriously injured and hospitalized for treatment. Officers recommended and/or issued an Intoxication Manslaughter charge.
