Area authorities have information on a two-vehicle crash that injured a woman near US 90 in Val Verde County, TX on October 26th, 2021. Police are saying the incident happened around 7:27 p.m. A Mazda 6 operated by a 24-year-old woman from Del Rio is accused of failing to control its speed and crashing into a Nissan Sentra stopped at a red light. A passenger in the Sentra, 21-year-old Lyna Salazar, was seriously injured. No on else in the vehicle was injured and the Del Rio woman reportedly suffered minor injuries. Reports indicate the woman was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
