What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 377 in Aubrey, TX on August 8th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 11:15 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Tahoe was northbound on Hwy 377 before allegedly failing to yield before attempting to make a turn onto Chestnut St. As a result, reports say the vehicle collided with a Mitsubishi Outlander headed southbound. Police say the driver of the Mitsubishi, identified as 19-year-old Madeline Abernathy, was seriously injured. There were no other reported injuries and authorities did not have additional inforamtion available.
