Dalhart Police are searching for a driver in connection with a collision that killed a person at East 1st St in Dalhart, TX on August 4th, 2021. 13-year-old Makayla Hernandez was reportedly taking pictures with her friends near the road when a vehicle came headed towards them. The vehicle then struck Makayla, who was dragged by the vehicle for several hundred feet. The vehicle never stopped and left Makayla behind, who suffered fatal injuries.
