What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at Clayton Ln and Sheridan Ave in Austin, TX on May 13th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:50 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado C1500 was headed westbound on Clayton while a 57-year-old bicyclist was headed eastbound while allegedly consuming a beer. The Chevrolet swerved to avoid colliding with the bicycle when it veered to the center of the lane before the bike collided with the Chevrolet. The cyclist suffered serious injuries in the collision. The other driver was not injured.
