What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash at County Rd 257 in Brazoria County, TX on January 30th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:46 a.m. A Chevrolet Silverado operated by a 23-year-old Okemah, OK man was headed southwest on County Rd 257 at what investigators say was an unsafe speed as it approached a curve in the road. Police believe the truck lost control and began to veer from the road before beginning to correct back onto the road. The vehicle lost control and overturned and a 23-year-old passenger was seriously injured when they were pinned inside the vehicle. The driver was evaluated for possible injuries.
