Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at FM 1053 in Crane County, TX on May 16th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:12 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-350 operated by a 47-year-old Midland man was headed southbound on FM 1053 when it failed to control its speed and took evasive action to try avoid colliding with a tractor-trailer . It struck the rear back corner of the truck, veering into a shoulder and suffering serious injuries. The truck driver, a 70-year-old Odessa man was not injured. Reports indicate a Failure to Control Speed charge was recommended and/or issued.
