Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a man at FM 2688 in Dimmit County, TX on March 15th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 4:26 a.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 2500 was headed eastbound. Ahead of the truck was a stationary Kenworth tractor trailer that was stopped at a construction zone light. Officers allege the light was red at the time and stated belief that the Dodge failed to control its speed, colliding with the rear of the stationary tractor-trailer. While both drivers were evaluated for possible injuries. a 36-year-old passenger in the Dodge is believed to have suffered serious injuries. Officers recommended a Failure to Control Speed charge.
