What Happened

Police are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 400 and Airport Rd in Slaton, TX on September 2nd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 8:10 a.m. According to investigators, a southbound motorcycle is said to have traveled overt a standing pool of water, causing the vehicle to lose control after hydroplaning. The vehicle ended up striking a second motorcycle nearby, the collision causing the second motorcycle to lose control and roll. The 44-year-old operator of the second motorcycle, who was not publicly identified, was seriously injured, police say. The other motorcyclist, also not publicly identified, was allegedly uninjured.
