Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-610 in Houston, TX on July 12th, 2023. Police are saying the incident happened around 10:11 a.m. According to investigators, a Kenworth T8800 operated by a 41-year-ild Houston man was eastbound at the time of the crash. They allege the vehicle failed to control its speed for unknown reasons before colliding with the rear of a Chevrolet Silverado ahead of it. The impact is said to have caused the Silverado to spin and the Kenworth to lose control striking a nearby Ford F-150. Officials say there were no reported injuries from the Kenworth or Ford, however, it was stated the 47-year-old Houston man operating the Chevrolet had serious injuries. His two passengers were evaluated for possible injuries and a Failure to Control Speed charge was recommended and/or issued.
