What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Jacobs Well Rd in Hays County, TX on August 2nd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:47 a.m. According to investigators, a commercial truck operated by a 66-year-old Spring Branch man was headed southwest on Jacobs Well Rd as it began to take a curve. Police believe the vehicle was traveling at an unsafe speed and went into a skid, veering from the road before hitting a sign and rolling over into a culvert and fence. The driver suffered serious injuries in the crash and reports indicate an Unsafe Speed charge was recommended and/or issued.
