Officials are saying the incident happened around 1:07 a.m. According to investigators, a Volvo XC70 was westbound, approaching a raised median that divided the east and westbound sides. For unconfirmed reasons, officials say the vehicle lost controlled veered from the road, crashing into a nearby rock wall. Reports indicate a 39-year-old passenger, who was not publicly identified, was seriously injured. The driver, a 29-year-old woman who was also not publicly identified, had less serious injuries, reports say. Sources indicate the driver was arrested under suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
