Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a man at State Hwy 271 in Tyler, TX on August 8th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:36 p.m. A GMC Sierra operated by 69-year-old  Rafael Vega turned south onto 271 and veered into an inside traffic lane. This action caused a motorcycle operated by a 38-year-old Tyler man to collide with the GMC, the man suffering serious injuries in the process. Vega was not injured and placed under attest for Intoxication Assault.
