Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a man at US 183 in Briggs, TX on April 10th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:31 a.m. According to investigators, a GMC Canyon operated by a 40-year-old Baytown man was reportedly headed northbound on US 183 when it lost control while taking a curve. It then veered into a ditch before going into a skid before rolling into a ditch. The man, who officers allege smelled of alcohol at the scene, suffered serious injuries. A 39-year-old passenger in the vehicle was evaluated for possible injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
