What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a man at  US 377 and Redwood Pl in Denton, TX on August 5th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4:10 a.m. A Toyota Tundra operated by 31-year-old Jon Austin Kaehn was headed westbound on 380 when it collided with a 19-year-old Shady Shores bicyclist in the lane. The bicycle reportedly was not equipped with any safety lights and the teen is accused of being intoxicated at the time of the collision. He was issued a charge of Driving While Intoxicated.
