Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a man at US 385 in Castro County, TX on October 8th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:20 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer headed eastbound on FM145 is alleged to have disregarded a stop sign before proceeding into the intersection with FUS 385. The truck collided with a John Deere tractor headed northbound on US 385. Reports say the operator of the tractor, a 49-year-old man who was not publicly identified, suffered serious injuries in the crash, as did the other driver. Sources indicate a Disregard Stop Sign charge was recommended and/or issued against the tractor-trailer operator.
