What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 67 and Commercial Park Rd in Redwater, TX on August 3rd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 11 a.m. According to investigators a Hyundai Sonata operated by a 70-year-old driver was stopped in a turning lane of US 67. Headed westbound was a GMC Topkick operated by a 62-year-old driver. Officials say the Hyundai attempted to re-enter a westbound lane before to was struck by the GMC, pushing the Hyundai into an electrical pole. The Hyundai operator had suspected serious injuries while that GMC operator was less seriously injured, according to authorities. Additional information was not immediately available.
