Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a man at US 80 in Kaufman County, TX on September 23rd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4:55 p.m. A motorcycle operated by a 37-year-old Willis Point man was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed before losing control and ejecting the driver. Investigators say the driver was previously involved in a crash before leaving the scene and allege he was intoxicated. He was hospitalized with serious injuries. Records show a charge of Driving While Intoxicated was recommended and/or issued.
