What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a collision that injured a man at US 84 in Bailey County, TX on August 15th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:39 a.m. A charter bus operated by a 59-year-old Odessa man reportedly exited a private drive south of US 84 before it went onto a turnaround to head westbound. A Buick LeSabre operated by a 38-year-old Henderson, TX man then collided with the rear portion of the bus, which had not yet cleared both lanes of travel. He suffered serious injuries in the collision. The bus driver and passengers were not injured. The driver was also charged with Failure to Yield Row and Improper Driver License For Type Vehicle.
