What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-35 in Hillsboro, TX on January 24th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 3:23 p.m. Investigators, say a tractor-trailer operated by a 47-year-old Hesperia, CA man was headed southbound in a shoulder before colliding with a concrete barrier. It then lost control and veered back into traffic, colliding with a Chevrolet Tahoe operated by a 36-year-old Austin man. The Austin man suffered serious injuries, according to investigators. Police suggested the possibility of the Hesperia man suffering a medical episode that may have contributed to the crash.
