What Happened

Dallas Police have arrested a driver in connection with a collision that left a man dead at Buckner Blvd and Cordell Dr in Dallas, TX on May 14th, 2022. Officials say it occurred around 10 p.m. Their investigation revealed a Dodge pickup truck operated by 19-year-old Juan Segura-Mendez was reportedly speeding prior to colliding with the rear of a Chevrolet Silverado. The impact caused the trailer towed by the Silverado to collide with a man in a motorized wheelchair crossing at Cordell Dr. The man was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from.
