What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at County Rd 595 in Brazoria County, TX on July 16th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:12 a.m. Investigators believe a Chevrolet C1500 operated by a 21-year-old Freeport man was westbound when it left the road for unknown reasons. From there, police say the vehicle hit an electrical pole and culvert and entering into a borrow ditch. The vehicle then hit a tree and overturned several times, partially ejecting the driver from the vehicle. Police say he was pronounced dead at the scene. Additional information was not immediately available.
