Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at FM 545 in Collin County, TX on April 10th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:49 a.m. According to their investigation, a BMW 740 operated by an unidentified 18-year-old Richardson male was headed westbound on FM 545 approaching a curve in the road. The vehicle reportedly lost control at the curve and veered from the road. It struck a road sign before going into a bar ditch and hitting a fence and tree. The driver, who police alleged was under the influence of alcohol, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Additional information was not immediately available.
