Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at FM 69 in Wood County, TX on December 14th, 2021. They say the incident happened around 1:25 p.m. and involved a Ford Explorer operated by a 48-year-old Quitman man. The Ford is said to have been headed southbound on FM 69 as it exited a sharp curve when it lost control and rolled multiple times through a fence and into a ditch. The impact caused serious injuries to the driver who was transported to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. Investigators say a blood test revealed the man was under the influence at the time of the crash.
