What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that killed a man at Gateway North Blvd and State Line Dr in El Paso, TX on January 19th, 2024. Police are saying it happened around 11:43 a.m. According to investigators, a Hyundai Elantra is alleged to have entered into the path of an approaching northbound tractor-trailer. As a result, the two vehicles collided, the crash leaving the Hyundai operator seriously injured. Police say the driver, an adult male who was not publicly identified, was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries he later died from. The driver of the truck, identified as 49-year-old Marc Estiverne, was allegedly uninjured. Authorities did not have any additional information available.
