What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at Goodnight Ln and Joe Field Rd in Dallas, TX on April 20th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:38 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by 46-year-old Sigifredo Dorado Ramos was traveling southbound on Goodnight Ln as it approached two vehicles that had been involved in a previous collision. Investigators say the drivers were out of the vehicles as the truck attempted to pass the vehicles, which were blocking a southbound lane. As it was passing, the driver of one of the vehicles, a 24-year-old Glenn Heights man, reportedly walked backwards into the path of the vehicle and was struck. The man was taken to an area hospital with injuries he died from. Additional information was not available.
