Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at State Hwy 17 in Jeff Davis County, TX on January 13th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:10 p.m. Investigators believe a commercial truck operated by a 31-year-old Sebring, FL man was approaching a curve in the roadway before colliding with a second commercial truck under nuclear circumstances. The driver of the second truck, a 65-year-old male, was killed. His passenger, a 67-year-old female, was seriously injured. The Sebring man was evaluated for possible injuries and cited for traveling at an unsafe speed. Additional information was not available.
