What Happened

Houston Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at US 59 in Harris County, TX on March 13th, 2025. Officials say the incident happened around 5:45 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Expedition is alleged to have suffered a flat tire before becoming stopped in a lane of travel. Officials say while stopped, the vehicle was struck in the rear by an approaching Kia Sportage and BMW, which struck the Kia. Reprots indicate an 18-year-old passenger in the Kia was fatally injured while two additional passengers and one in the Ford were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford allegedly fled the scene on-foot. Additional information was not available.
