What Happened

Harris County Sheriff's Office authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at West Gulf Bank Rd and Airline Rd in Harris County, TX on July 2nd, 2023. Police say the incident happened sometime before 2:48 a.m. According to investigators, a pickup truck is believed to have been headed southbound on Airline Dr before allegedly running a red light. The vehicle collided with a car headed eastbound on West Gulf Bank Rd. The truck then veered to the southbound side of the roadway before colliding with a utility pole and catching fire. The driver of the truck died at the scene. Additional information was not available.
