What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash involving a speeding motorcycle that led to a fatality at FM 2978 and Research Forest Dr in Magnolia, TX on July 5th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10 p.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle was reportedly traveling around 20 mph over the speed limit when it was spotted by a deputy on patrol around 10 p.m. Officials go on to say the deputy attempted to pull the driver over as it continued at a high rate of speed. The motorcycle reportedly collided with a vehicle pulling onto FM 2978, ejecting the driver. The unidentified cyclist, a man age 26, died at the scene. Additional information was not available.
