Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at University Dr in McKinney, TX on September 27th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 3:55 p.m. According to investigators, a Mercedes-Benz operated by a 50-year-old McKinney man was westbound in a middle lane of travel. Police say as the vehicle approached, a pedestrian began crossing roadway from a center median. Authorities allege the pedestrian, a 58-year-old Richardson man who was not publicly identified, was not crossing at a crosswalk when he was struck by the vehicle. Reports say the man was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. The McKinney man was uninjured, reports say. Additional information was not available.
