What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety Officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at US 287 in Sherman County, TX on September 25th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 12:26 a.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 29-year-old Philadelphia, PA man was traveling northbound on US 287 when it collided with a pedestrian walking southbound in a main travel lane. The truck attempted to swerve left to avoid the collision but was unable to do so. The pedestrian, a 34-year-old Dalhart man, died at the scene.
