Authorities in Parmer County, TX, are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on March 14, 2025, at approximately 11:53 a.m. on US Highway 60. A 2005 Peterbilt truck tractor was traveling south when it struck the rear of a 2024 Toyota Sienna that was parked in a traffic lane. The impact pushed the Sienna into a pedestrian, resulting in the death of a 58-year-old male. A 67-year-old female passenger in the Sienna sustained a minor injury. The Peterbilt driver was uninjured. Contributing factors included impaired visibility, a vehicle parked in the traffic lane, and the pedestrian being in the roadway. The investigation is incomplete.
