Police say the incident happened around 6:27 a.m. A Kia Soul operated by 30-year-old Patricia Archila was headed westbound on Westwood Dr when it veered from the road and crashed into a tree. A passenger in the vehicle, 25-year-old Marcos Garcia, suffered serious injuries. Police allege Archila was intoxicated at the time of the crash and records show a DWI Intoxication Assault charge was recommended and/or issued.
