What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured several people at I-35 in Georgetown, TX on January 28th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:14 a.m. According to investigators, a Kia K5 operated by 54-year-old Raymond Ledesma was headed southbound when it approached a vehicle that was stopped in the roadway. The vehicle, a Kia Optima, was involved in a separate accident. The K5 struck the disabled Kia, leaving Ledesma with minor injuries. A passenger in the K5, identified as 51-year-old Margaret Duran, suffered more serious injuries. A second passenger, age 36, was also seriously injured. Additional details were not available.
