What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a collision that injured seven people at Hwy 87 in O'Donnell, TX on May 10th, 2022. Officials say it happened around 6:30 p.m. and involved an SUV colliding with a semi-truck leaving a parking lot. The SUV is said to have veered into a ditch after impact before overturning and landing on its top. 36-year-old passenger, Margarito Martinez Flores, died at the scene. 25-year-old driver, Fernando Ponce Martinez and 33-year-old Antonio Adomino Cueva were seriously injured. 45-year-old Juan Guzman, 21-year-old Heraminia Ortiz and 31-year-old Raul Gervacio Flores were three of five others that were hospitalized. The truck driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Additional information was not available.
