What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that killed a person at Loop 11 and Northwest Dr in Wichita Falls, TX on November 10th, 2022. Police say the incident happened as a Cadillac CTS headed eastbound allegedly failed to stop at a posted stop sign at the intersection with Loop 11. A Ford Escape is said to have struck the Cadillac as a result, pushing the Cadillac from the road into a power pole. 56-year-old Maria Flores, a passenger in the Cadillac, was ejected from the vehicle in the crash and died at the scene. A 2-year-old child was also ejected in the collision and taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. Two adults, including 36-year-old Patricia Flores, were also hospitalized in critical condition. Additional information was not available.
