What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at I-35E in Hill County, TX on September 11th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5:11 p.m. A Ford Edge operated by a 47-year-old Dallas man was headed northbound on I-25 E when it veered from its lane and struck an extruder in the right shoulder. After the collision, the vehicle went into a skid and was struck the truck before coming to rest in a right lane. A passenger in the vehicle, 52-year-old Maria Ibarra Saucedo, suffered serious injuries. The Dallas man suffered serious injuries while the truck driver was not injured. Investigators say the Dallas man showed possible signs of intoxication.
