Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Sugar Rd and Rogers Rd in Edinburg, TX on November 19th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:20 a.m. According to investigators, a GMC Sierra operated by an unnamed 23-year-old Edinburg man was headed northbound on North Sugar Rd. The vehicle veered from the road into a southbound lane, traveling against traffic before colliding with a Volkswagen Passat operated by 25-year-old Maria Loera. Loera suffered serious injuries in the crash while the other driver was not injured. The Edinburg man was also charged with Intoxication Assault.
