What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured at least two people at US 82 in Lubbock, TX on June 7th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 10:50 p.m. According to investigators, a KTM 200 was traveling ahead of a Nissan Versa entering an on ramp. Reports say the Nissan failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of the motorcycle. The collision is said to have seriously injured both the 32-year-old operator of the motorcycle and 25-year-old passenger, Maria Vaccari Alvia. The other driver was allegedly uninjured and authorities did not have any additional information available.
