What Happened

San Antonio Police are investigating a collision that killed two women at Hwy 16 and S Zarzamora St in San Antonio, TX on September 13th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4:30 a.m. An SUV operated by 28-year-old Gabrielle Gaitan reportedly ran a red light at an intersection, colliding with another vehicle. The two women in the second vehicle, identified as 39-year-old Maricris Morris and 38-year-old Vicenta Rangel died on impact. Gaitan was arrested on two counts of Intoxication Manslaughter and two counts of Failure to Stop and Render Aid.
