What Happened

Abilene Police are investigating a crash that killed two people at  I-20 and FM 600 in Abilene, TX on February 26th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:55 a.m. According to initial reports, an 18-wheeler is said to have crossed a median for unknown reasons an crashed into a bridge pillar. The impact caused the truck to catch fire and two occupants were confirmed to have suffered fatal injuries. They were identified as 44-year-old Mario Alberto Carlon and 39-year-old Carlos Armando Reyes Hurtado. No other vehicles were involved in the crash and additional information was not available.
