What Happened

Houston Police are investigating a crash that killed a woman at Westheimer Parkway in Houston, TX on January 23rd, 2024. Police say the incident involved an eastbound Nissan Sentra veering from its lanes for unclear reasons around 5:14 p.m. Police say the vehicle traveled into the westbound lanes before colliding with a Ford Fiesta. Reports indicate the 31-year-old woman operating the Nissan, identified as Markeon Stevens,  died at the scene. Officials say the 55-year-old man operating the Ford was hospitalized with suspected non-life-threatening injuries. Police did not provide any additional information.
