What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at I-35W in Fort Worth, TX on June 16th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. According to investigators, a Kia Soul headed southbound is alleged to have been folioing too closely behind a Chevrolet Malibu during a lane change. Reports say the Kia collided with the Chevrolet, the impact causing the Chevrolet to crashing into a shoulder barrier. Authorities say the driver of the Chevrolet, who was not publicly identified, was seriously injured. Two passengers, including 19-year-old Markiesia White, had injuries believed to be less serious in nature. Authorities did not have any additional information available.
