What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-35E in Lewisville, TX on June 20th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:48 a.m. Investigators are saying a Chevrolet Tahoe operated by 24-year-old Martin Arredondo Vazquez was headed northbound on U-35E before crashing into a concrete wall and steel barrier. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn, ejecting Vazquez from the vehicle and causing fatal injuries. Officers say beer cans were allegedly found in an around the vehicle and expressed suspicion of alcohol involvement in the crash.
